We’re thrilled to announce that UMass Architecture will be the host for the Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA) 57th annual conference May 27-30, 2026. We invite practitioners, researchers, and educators to submit their proposals on the theme of Embracing Regional Sustainability: Networks for People and Places.
The Environmental Design Research Association (EDRA) Conference (May 25-30) will focus on "Embracing Regional Sustainability: Networks for People and Places." This theme reflects a timely and critical inquiry into how we support and connect the built environment and human well- being across multiple scales—from local neighborhoods to global systems. The importance of regional thinking has never been clearer, as social, political and environmental challenges become more complex. This conference will be held on the UMass Amherst campus and connects design practitioners and scholars from around the world.
Please consider joining us for the entire conference (requiring registration) or simply joining the free public keynote associated with the conference, highlighting Katie Swenson of MASS Design Group, on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
