Together with Assistant Professors Narges Mahyar and Ali Sarvghad of the College of Information and Computer science, Assistant Professor Pari Riahi has received a grant from the National Science Foundation for a research project titled: MAPPING INSTABILITY: Building an Intelligent Community Agent Platform for Understanding the Impact of Large-Scale Crisis on Small Town Communities. This work ties to their previous pilot project, funded by the UMass ADVANCE Collaborative Research Seed grant studying the effects of the COVID 19 Crisis on the built environment.
