Associate Professor Pari Riahi and her colleagues in the Collaborative for Urban Imagination received a Translational Seed Award for their project, titled: "Community-oriented Decentralized Renewable Energy for Future Cities." The interdisciplinary team, composed of 7 faculty from 4 colleges, will work on improving and adapting affordable housing projects while providing renewable energy, augmenting tree canopy coverage, and improving wastewater management. Translational Seed Awards are funded by theManning Innovation Program, the U.S. National Science Foundation Accelerating Research Translation award and the Institute for Applied Life Sciences (IALS).
