Congratulations are in order for Associate Professor Joseph Krupczynski for receiving a UMass Distinguished Community Engagement Award for Research and Teaching in April.

Joseph directs the Center for Design Engagement in Holyoke, working with communities throughout the region on a variety of design projects and as the Director of UMass Civic Engagement and Service-Learning (CESL).  In this role, he oversees service-learning and citizen scholar programs for the entire university.
