Our faculty research was well represented in this year’s Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) Annual Conference held in New Orleans.
Assistant Professor Rob Williams attended the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) annual conference where he presented two papers: Small Footprints: Lessons From Three Years Of Low-carbon ADU Design-build Projects and Too Small to Succeed: Assessing the Spatial Impacts of Zoning Ordinances on ADU Development in the Northeast. The later project, which was co-authored with Professor Ray Mann, received the ACSA Best Project Award.
Assistant Professor Jordan Kanter presented Mass Timber as Naked Material in a session discussing Timber Pedagogy. Assistant Professor Kanter and Professor Ray K. Mann won a special merit in the 2024 Timber Education Prize by The Softwood Lumber Board (SLB) and the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA).
Associate Professor Sandy Litchfield presented Y3K: On Distant Keys in a session discussing Ecology, Repair and Resilience. Her paper describes her curatorial work Y3K: On Distant Keys exhibited at the Design Building Gallery in 2023-24.
We are proud of our colleagues for their hard work.
