On May 10th we celebrated UMass Commencement and cheered on our graduating students:  32 Bachelor of Science in Architecture grads and nine Master of Architecture grads are heading out, prepared to contribute to a more sustainable, more beautiful, and more accessible world. Amid the many commencement activities, we held a luncheon and awards reception for students and their families. Congratulations to this year's newly minted alumni & to our award recipients!

Awards for graduating MArch or MDes students:
•    Tau Sigma Delta Bronze Medal - Kinsey Diomedi
•    AIA Henry Adams Medal - Ashley Lepre
 
Awards to graduating BS Architecture students:
•    Alpha Rho Chi Medal - Steven Paquette
 
We offer two awards for continuing MArch students:
•    John Martin scholarship (funded by a generous gift from Charlie Hadley in honor of a former professor of Environmental Design) - Brenden Baitch
•    Nathaniel Hadley scholarship (in honor of Charlie Hadley's son) - Nate Kraus-Malett
 
Awards for continuing MDes Students:
•    National Society of Women Descendants of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company Scholarship - Shelby Parrish and Elisha Bettencourt
 
Awards for continuing BS Architecture Students:
•    Sherry and George Dickerman Scholarship for Interior Architecture (with thanks to alumna Sherry) - Samantha Gallagher
 
And we welcomed seven new members of the Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society:
•    Kinsey Diomedi, Hannah Horak, Angelo Landry, Ashley Lepre, Olivia Saccocia
