A huge congratulations to Carey Clouse, Professor of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, who has received a Fulbright-NSF Arctic Research Grant for academic year 2024-2025.  The award importantly calls for the “conduct research related to evolving Arctic security/northern security and geopolitical concerns... with the goal of contributing substantively to the debate on Arctic security, broadly defined, to ensure a stable and sustainable Arctic region.”  Professor Clouse’ research topic is entitled: Project: Seeds of Change: Research on Glacier Afforestation. She will be hosted by the Iceland University of the Arts/Icelandic Forest Service.  Clouse, at this occasion, is also stepping down after four years of serving as our indefatigable Graduate Program Director. We wish her the best of luck in her research and will miss her greatly while she is gone.
