We are happy to announce that The Designer’s Field Guide to Collaboration, a new book by Assistant Professor Caryn Brause is now available.
Brause provides practitioners and students with the tools necessary to collaborate effectively with a wide variety of partners in an increasingly socially complex and technology-driven design environment. Chapters examine emerging and best practices for effective team building, structuring workflows, enhancing communication, managing conflict, and developing collective vision. Thoughtful text, case studies of notable firms (such as Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects, Studio Gang, and Perkins+Will), beautiful photographs, and formal exercises are geared toward improving design excellence in both design school studios and architectural practice.
