A huge congratulations to Jordan Luther (‘21BSArch) who has been elected to serve as the National President of the American Institute of Architecture Students starting July 1, 2024. Jordan is no stranger to AIAS, having served as president of both UMass and Carnegie Mellon chapters—and every year since on various task forces and governance committees. Luther credits the organization for evolving a very shy 18-year-old into an active leader and advocate. In practice and research, Luther unsurprisingly excels as well: As and 2022 AIAS CRIT Scholar, her work on “Augmenting Patient Rooms through Patterning: The Impact of Biophilic Design on Human Health” was presented at the 2022 ACSA Research Conference and subsequently published in the AIAS CRIT journal.
