Make Space for Mentoring Exhibit Opening
Design Building Cafe & Gallery for the Exhibit Opening
Join us for a panel
Join us for a showcase of OFD mutual mentoring teams who have taken on topics related to anti-racist and culturally aware pedagogy. In this panel, faculty will present briefly on their mutual mentoring team projects. Participants will hear about the variety of ways that faculty designed their mutual mentoring projects, built their teams, and the impact of their work. After the presentations, discussion will be facilitated by Associate Provost Angela de Oliveira.
The panel will be followed by an Opening Reception with drinks and appetizers for the exhibit "Make Space for Mentoring," a series of events and an environment to support mentoring in the John W. Olver Design Building Gallery.
UMass Amherst faculty Carey Clouse and Caryn Brause, Salon curators, have invited inspiring mid-career women from architecture, landscape architecture, and allied faculties to share the endeavors they have "made space" for during their post-tenure career phase. The exhibit will provide visitors with examples of the diversity of ways in which faculty produce work at mid-career, and will recognize the work that our national colleagues are most passionate about.
Sponsored by the Office of Faculty Development, in collaboration with the Department of Architecture, the Department of Landscape Architecture & Regional Planning, and the UMass Office of Equity and Inclusion
