Make Space for Mentoring is a series of events, an exhibit, and an environment to support mentoring, held in the John W. Olver Design Building Gallery over a two-week period. Students, faculty, practitioners, and friends are invited to join around a common table. Through a series of events for different affinity groups, we hope this space will serve as a catalyst for both personal and professional growth. The exhibit, curated by Professors Carey Clouse and Caryn Brause, shares an array of work produced by women design faculty and aims to make visible the diversity of commitments that our colleagues have “made space for” during their post-tenure period. By sharing tools, resources and stories, we hope visitors to the gallery will forge new connections and open up space and time for mentorship.
