Meet the community on Arbor Day and enjoy many activities. Arbor Day 2026 features Earth Day Extravaganza, UMass Student Farmer's Market, and a Gallery Tour of the Fine Arts Center. Check the campus events calendar and the arboretum  Instagram page for dates. 

Arbor Day Friday April 24, 2026 Events

Self-guided tours are always an option. Our notable and specimen trees are tagged with interpretive signage that enables students and community members to lead their own tree walks at their leisure.

UMass Permaculture also offers walking tours on campus in the fall and the spring that highlight various woody plants that produce edible fruits, nuts, or leaves. Stay up to date on upcoming interpretive walks by following the UMass Permaculture Instagram page.
