Founder's Day At UMass Founder's Day At UMass

Schedule

9 am - 10:30 am: One hour tree walk with Michael Amato & Todd Cournoyer. Meet at the Japanese Elm tree by the library.
10 am - 12 pm: Tree Climbing Demo with champion tree climber, Stella Dee and Dr. Brian Kane.
10 am - 3 pm: Cutting giveaways on the Library deck with Head Grower, Tim Mercer
10 am - 1 pm: Bee Campus table with Aliza Fassler: Live bumblebee colony on display.
11 am - 2 pm: Campus Cookout

The Waugh Arboretum is accredited at the highest level of accreditation, Level IV, by the ArbNet Accreditation Program since 2018 and is recognized as a Tree Campus in Higher Education by the Arbor Day Foundation since 2014.
