Biography:

I am a PhD student in biological anthropology at UMass Amherst, specializing in human biology. I received my MSc degree in Human Osteoarchaeology from the University of Edinburgh in 2022.

My research interests include sleep, stress, and child growth. My dissertation project will explore the connections between child activity, sleep, and growth. I am interested in understanding how sleep patterns for children living in rural or peri-urban areas differ from children living in industrialized areas. My research goal is to explore how different activity types and intensities among children in rural areas might impact sleep, and if different sleep patterns impact child growth and their stress levels compared to the children in the urban areas.
