Professional Biography
I am an anthropologist of technology interested in the intersections of racism, space, and justice. In my research I use ethnographic and archival methods to investigate political ecologies of racial capital—especially white power and anti-blackness—in North American cities. My work is organized around three main questions:
- why do structural inequities persist?
- how do the material conditions of inequity shape bodies, places, and technical systems?
- what do people do to respond?
