Professional Biography

I am a biological anthropologist interested in human evolution, and how humans adapt, biologically and culturally, to their environment. I focus especially on the relationships between physical activity and postcranial skeletal robusticity as a means of inferring behavior in past populations. See my website for two ongoing projects regarding the lives of an Italian Medieval population and physical activity and bone strength in a group of Bolivian tropical lowland foragers.
