Title: Don't Poke the Bear: A Multimodal Ethnograffiti of White Fragility

Abstract:
This prospectus proposes an examination of BIPOC experiences with the violence of white fragility through colloborative artistc narrative design.  Its grounding in 'ethnograffiti methodology' calls for a movement toward anthropology made both from and as art, a process that produces dialogic investigations of particpants' experiences as a means of generating more concrete and yet interpretively complex discourse on white fragility.  It aims to 1) produce a robust volume of coauthored work on the subject that includes a broad range of entry points for a varied audience while 2) making the concept of white fragility more viscerally accessible to the public in a way that doesn't burden individual people of color with the brunt of having to 'educate' the mainstream on a person-by-person basis.
