Twilight Meeting at Small Farm - Irrigation and Climate Adaptation

Last year the team at Small Farm tried out a simple, relatively low-cost tool for monitoring soil moisture—Watermark sensors. Hear about their experience using the sensors, what they observed, and how the sensors have impacted irrigation practices in both the high tunnel and the field. UMass Extension staff will discuss other ways to optimize production, manage weeds, and mitigate the effects of climate change in sensitive crops like tomatoes, lettuce, and roots in the tunnel and field.
