Join us to learn more about selling cut flowers to local florists! Hudson Valley florist Cara Schmidt has been sourcing flowers locally since 2019. She will explain the why, what, and how of selling locally grown flowers to florists (both retail and event). She will also offer some thoughts on pricing, and some feedback from your florist customer's perspective.
 
Speaker Bio:
Cara Schmidt created Three Notch Florals, an event-based floral design studio, in 2017 in Brooklyn. She began sourcing locally grown flowers in 2019. In 2020, she & her husband moved to the Hudson Valley, and Three Notch Florals' focus became using all locally grown flowers. (Or as close to all local as possible. She's yet to find a local solution to smilax!). Her favorite flower is the bearded iris, especially Downtown Brown.
