The Massachusetts Agricultural Experiment Station operates within the Center for Agriculture, Food, and the Environment in the College of Natural Sciences to coordinate the distribution of federal funds from USDA/National Institute of Food and Agriculture that advance science in disciplines related to agriculture, food and natural resources. The Experiment Station supports existing research programs and encourages new research initiatives that leverage additional resources and external funding. The Center for Agriculture, Food, and the Environment connects research supported by the Experiment Station with public outreach and education programs provided by UMass Extension.
