I am Ben Rossman, and I am a senior Horticultural Science student at UMass Amherst. I had the opportunity to be a part of the REEU internship program for the Summer of 2023. Getting to learn about research, experiencing the wide selection of modules that are part of this program, and getting to know my fellow interns, as well as the coordinators and Dr. Pinero has made this the best experience | have had at UMass. I love to meet new people and talk about fresh ideas, so I felt right at home in an extension environment. This internship allowed me to explore new possibilities for my future and really opened my eyes to career paths I never knew existed or thought I would be interested in. I feel very thankful to be a part of this program and am so grateful for the friendships, connections, and experiences it has brought me.
