8:30 AM - A New Option for Controlling Plant Growth with Ethephon Drenches

Dr. Garrett Owen, Assistant Professor Sustainable Greenhouse and Nursery Systems, The Ohio State University

This session will discuss the new option in the PGR toolbox to customize plant growth with ethephon drenches. Dr. Owen will discuss the latest research results that confirm the effectiveness of ethephon drenches across many plant species.

9:45 AM - Identification and Management Strategies for Bacterial and Fungal Leaf Spots on Spring Greenhouse Crops

Dr. Margery Daughtrey, Senior Extension Associate, Cornell University

This session will discuss the key characteristics of foliar bacterial and fungal leaf spots and how to tell them apart. Margery will also review the most effective management program for each type of foliar disease.

11:00 AM - How to Optimize Biocontrol Programs to Ensure Successful Pest Management Outcomes

Michelle Opela, Senior IPM Manager, Costa Farms

This session will provide practical insights on selecting, deploying and monitoring biological control agents. Michelle will also discuss effective trouble shooting strategies for when your biocontrol program encounters setbacks.

Pesticide Credits

Three pesticide credits in Massachusetts categories 26, 29, 31 and 000 (Applicator's License/Core) have been approved for this program. Credits are valid for equivalent categories in all New England states. To receive pesticide credits, you must register with your unique email address, log in with your own device, answer all the poll sessions, and complete the survey after the webinar.
