Integrated Pest Management (IPM) has been the cornerstone of sustainable apple production in New England since the early 1980s when UMass professor Dr. Ron Prokopy and the growers he worked with revolutionized how they tackled pest problems. The iconic red sticky sphere remains a staple IPM tool to this day. In this video, generations of growers discuss how IPM impacted their farms then and continues to do so now.
