December 16, 2025

UMass Extension Educators Jon Clements, Susan Scheufele, and John Galvan attended the Great Lakes Expo (GLEXPO) December 9-11, 2026 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Jon presented three posters in the poster session: ‘Fun’ with Outfield (continued from years 1 and 2); Chemical thinning efficacy of metamitron vs. grower standard on McIntosh apples in 2025; and Monitoring those pesky leps using Cropvue. The GLEXPO is the biggest event of its kind for fruit and vegetable growers in the midwest with 4,500 attendees and 400 trade show exhibits. Many Education sessions include Farm Market, Fruit, Greenhouse, and Vegetable tracks as well as a Cider contest. For more information visit the GLEXPO website https://glexpo.com/
