Updated Spotted Lanternfly IPM Fact Sheet Now Available
The UMass Extension Grape IPM: Spotted Lanternfly fact sheet has been updated with the latest integrated pest management and pesticide recommendations for Massachusetts grape growers. Updates include expanded guidance on scouting, sanitation, mechanical control, circle traps, vacuum removal, and managing spotted lanternfly throughout its life cycle.
The pesticide section has also been revised to include current product recommendations, application restrictions, resistance-management guidance, and information on federal Section 2(ee) recommendations. Because pesticide registrations and labels can change, growers should verify the current Massachusetts registration and read the complete product label before every application.
