Assessing Peer Learning and Network Building in Climate Change Adaptation Programs

Climate change is an incredibly complex challenge that requires cross-sectoral and collaboration and coordination if we are to have any hope of responding and transforming quickly enough through climate adaptation. Unfortunately, as with many fields, climate work is too often being done in siloes and without the necessary assessment to understand what types of programs and interventions are the most effective. Given the urgency, there is no time to reinvent the wheel with each new initiative. However, we are often still figuring out the best adaptation actions to take in this dynamic and emerging field. As such, climate practice involves adaptive management and iterative thinking. Because of all this, it is essential for climate professionals to assess educational practices and group processes and share lessons learned so that we can build on each other’s work.
