In compliance with Massachusetts Standards for the Protection of Personal Information of Residents, the University of Massachusetts now requires annual mandatory cybersecurity training for all employees. This online cybersecurity module takes approximately 25 minutes to complete. The University of Massachusetts is using Vector Solutions to provide this online training course to all UMass employees.

Log in to the Vector Solutions website through this secure link using your UMass NetID and password: https://umass-amherst-ma.vectorlmsedu.com/training/home

Please complete the new cybersecurity training by Friday, February 7, 2025.

In addition to the new UMass systemwide cybersecurity training, UMass Amherst employees can access cybersecurity resources specific to our campus.

Known Accessibility Issues with Vector Solutions

The University of Massachusetts is actively working with Vector Solutions to resolve the following accessibility issues with their platform:

Training content navigation – the current training content navigation creates an inefficient and confusing experience for screen reader users. Vector is working on implementing a fix by June 2025.

Training content cannot not be viewed at 400% browser zoom due to a locked header and footer in the platform. Vector is working on implementing a fix by March 2025.

Video Transcripts – any employees that rely on reading a transcript instead of watching a video must select the last line of the video transcript to show that the employee has completed the transcript. Once an employee selects the last line of the transcript, they will be able to move forward to the next section of the training. Vector will work on a more efficient solution for transcripts once the training navigation and browser zoom issues above are fixed.

In addition, the custom Conflict of Interest training currently has several accessibility issues that will impact screen reader users and there are no transcripts associated with the videos in the Conflict of Interest training.

We are working with the State to fix those issues. If any of these critical accessibility issues impact you and you have been assigned a training in Vector, please reach out to your Campus ADA Coordinator for assistance.
