One of the more unsettling outgrowths of the COVID-19 crisis is the prevalent harassment of Asians and Asian Americans throughout the United States. Rachael Chen, UMass Music Performance major and AES student, reflects on her experience as an Asian American artist living during the pandemic and how she found inspiration and empowerment in exploring her heritage and supporting the Black Lives Matter movement by combining action, education, and creativity.
