Arts Management Intern, Pioneer Valley Symphony, Greenfield, MA

One of the oldest community orchestras in the county, the Pioneer Valley Symphony celebrates 80 years of bringing audiences and musicians together.  The PVS 2019-2020 season offers six subscription concerts with the PVS Orchestra, two Choral concerts and two Youth Orchestra concerts.

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:  The Pioneer Valley Symphony Summer Internship will assist on a number of special projects in the areas of community engagement and development Projects will be assigned based on the intern’s experience and interests.  Opportunities include assisting on creatively promoting the 2019-2020 season through print, media and immersive experience,  assisting with the organization and analysis of audience engagement data, developing community connections within the Pioneer Valley and assisting on preparations for concert tech and production. PVS interns are offered one comp ticket to each subscription concert.

Qualifications: Strong writing and editing skills, proficiency in MIcrosoft Suite and Adobe Suite, and a collaborative and curious mind.

PERIOD OF INTERNSHIP/EMPLOYMENT: June - August 15, 2019 10 hours a week

PAY TYPE: Unpaid

OPPORTUNITY TYPE: Internship

JOB STATUS: Part-time, 10 hours per week
