Arts Organization Intern, Public Art and Festival planning, TV production all aspect, Chicopee Cultural Council, Chicopee MA

The Chicopee Cultural Council provides access to the arts and culture through grants and independent projects. This vibrant and fast growing arts organization is initiating unique Public Art projects, several new festivals and will continue its Arts and Culture Television Show, Village Voices producing 6 new shows this year and working with an award winning filmmaker.

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION:

Internships are available in:

  • Public Art Projects: Assistant to a painter for Mural work, providing support in painting electrical boxes and providing feedback on designs for creative bike stand construction and historic river walkway signage.

  • Festival Planning: Work with the Council to brainstorm and provide feedback on festival theme. Assist in budgeting, hiring or managing artists, site management, and marketing.

  • Television production: Learn the basic workings of television production and how to operate state of the art television cameras and switcher editing room. Assist in creation of a story board and program concept, editing or mixing media, studio switching, and sound recording.
