The Authors League Fund helps authors, dramatists, journalists, critics, short story writers, and poets. Assistance is modest and temporary in nature. Recipients may apply again after a twelve months have passed, although additional support is not guaranteed. - Creative Capital

The Arts Management Center helps arts leaders manage and motivate their teams, form productive partnerships, and become better leaders. - AiR Program of Siao-Long Cultural Park, Tainan, Taiwan - Artists-in-Residence Program
In 2013, the Siao-Long Cultural Park: Artists-in-Residence Program was established, and since then there has been an annual open call for artists. The Authors League Fund helps professional authors, journalists, poets, and dramatists who find themselves in financial need because of medical or health-related problems, temporary loss of income, or other misfortune. - The Awesome Foundation Grant
Each fully autonomous chapter supports awesome projects through micro-grants, usually given out monthly. These micro-grants, $1000 or the local equivalent, come out of pockets of the chapter's "trustees" and are given on a no-strings-attached basis to people and groups working on awesome projects. - Biz-M-Power - Matching Grant Program
The Biz-M-Power crowdfunding matching grant program offers small businesses in Massachusetts financial assistance with their acquisition, expansion, improvement or lease of a facility, purchase or capital lease of equipment, or with meeting other capital needs for the business. - The Blues Foundation HART Fund - for Blues musicians
The Blues Foundation established the HART Fund (Handy Artists Relief Trust) for Blues musicians and their families in financial need due to a broad range of health concerns. - Boston Ballet - Costume Crafts Artisan
The Costume Crafts Artisan will assist with construction of costume crafts, including, but not limited to headpieces, jewelry, shoes, fabric dyeing and painting. This position will report to the Crafts Table Head to complete projects as specified, within tight deadlines. Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) is seeking submissions for an online exhibit on Artsy exploring our relationship to trees. In honor of the arrival of spring, please send 3-5 images of artwork involving trees. - Brooks and Joan Fortune Family Foundation - Grants
The Brooks and Joan Fortune Foundation (BJFF) primarily provides funds to support education, art, and outreach programs and projects. In general, the foundation desires to support specific activities that result in a defined outcome rather than general operating funds or fundraising campaigns. Funding requests between $1,000 and $10,000 will receive greater consideration. While the foundation activities have historically been located in Indiana and Florida, requests from around the country will certainly be considered. All recipients must have a 501(c)(3) designation from the IRS. - Cape Cod Museum of Art - Call for Entries: Departures
The theme DEPARTURES is intended to be interpreted broadly. Advancements in art result from daring and risk-taking. Aberration fuels evolution. In this call, artists are asked to submit artworks that exemplify a moment of departure from conventional styles or methods of creating. Two possible approaches to the theme are outlined below, but any interpretation of the theme will be considered. Three prizes will be awarded by the juror: $500, $200 and $100. Carnegie Fund for Authors awards grants to American authors who have been published by a mainstream publisher and who are in need of emergency funds. - Children's Book Academy - Scholarships
These scholarships are designed to help bring more diversity of all kinds into the children's literature field and are currently offered to folks who identify as LBGQTI, having a disability, being a person of color, or being low income. - The Clay Studio - Resident Artist Program
The Clay Studio Resident Artist Program offers individuals the opportunity to further develop their work, to establish professional contacts and standards, and to work within a community of like-minded individuals in an urban environment for up to three years. The program is designed to reflect a range of experiences and diverse aesthetic approaches, cultures and perspectives. The Clay Studio Resident Artist Program assists artists to become successful members of the Philadelphia art community, while making national and international connections. Deadline: April 1, 2024. - Craft Emergency Relief Fund - Artist Get Ready Grants
CERF+’s Get Ready program provides individual craft artists grants up to $1,000 to conduct activities that will help safeguard their studios, protect their careers and prepare for emergencies. Artists are encouraged to use the Risk Assessment activity to generate ideas. Priority will be given to applications from people who identify in the global majority or as Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC)* and folk and traditional artists. Providing artists and writers the time and setting to refocus their energy on their creative process within a supportive community environment,while enriching the cultural vitality of Cuttyhunk Island. - Digitizing Hidden Collections: Amplifying Unheard Voices
This is a national grant competition administered by the Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR) inviting proposals to digitize materials that deepen public understanding of the histories of people of color and other communities and populations whose work, experiences, and perspectives have been insufficiently recognized or unattended. - emBrace Pattern Design Competition
A nationwide competition intended to encourage artists to design fashionable prints and patterns for scoliosis braces that appeal to everyone. emBrace honors aesthetically powerful graphic designs by artists across the country and partners with orthopedic companies to transfer them onto the surface of back braces. - Emergency Survival Fund for LGBTQ2S artists, performers & tip-based workers
This is a fund to help LGBTQ2S people who cannot pay for food, medicine, rent, and necessities because most of their income doesn't come from an employer. Grants based on need and available funds. Rolling until expended. - Eyebeam Center for the Future of Journalism - Grants
Supports a variety of work, including: text, photography, audio and video. Artists and artist-journalist teams with longer-term, research-intensive projects are also encouraged to apply. Application deadline: rolling. - Fully Funded Residencies
Fully Funded Residencies is an online platform for research and knowledge-sharing that gathers, archives and shares fully funded residencies, awards, grants and mobility funds. - Foundation for Contemporary Arts - Emergency Grant
Provide urgent funding for visual and performing artists who: have sudden, unanticipated opportunities to present their work to the public when there is insufficient time to seek other sources of funding, incur unexpected or unbudgeted expenses for projects close to completion with committed exhibition or performance dates. Grants range in amount from $500 to $3,000, and the average grant is now $1,700. Application deadline is rolling. - Fund for Investigative Journalism
The Fund for Investigative Journalism provides grants and other support to independent journalists and news organizations to produce high-quality, unbiased, nonpartisan investigative stories that have an impact. - Greater Worcester Community Foundation Grants
Cultural organizations within the town of Worcester, MA may apply to this grant. Award amount can range from $500 to $5,000. - International Arts Movement: Hilary Teachout Grants
Hilary Teachout Grants offer artists relief during the coronavirus pandemic. Named the Hilary Teachout Grants, they honor the memory of the wife of theatre critic Terry Teachout; she passed away during the COVID-19 crisis due to an illness that required a double lung transplant. One-time grants of $500 are provided. - Independent Journalism Grant
The Economic Hardship Reporting Project is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that produces journalism to raise awareness about income inequality and economic unfairness in America. They commission op-eds, personal essays, investigative reports, rich narrative features, podcasts, nonfiction cartoons, photo essays, and documentaries about the United States. Grants generally range from $500 for an op-ed to $10,000 for a documentary. - Innovate Artist Grants
Innovate Grant awards (2) $1,800.00 grants each quarter, to one Visual Artist and one Photographer. In addition, (6) honorable mentions (3 in art and 3 in photo), will be featured on our website and join a growing community of vibrant and talented artists. Innovate Grant’s commitment extends beyond the grant cycle by promoting the work of selected winners and honorable mentions into the future. - International Women's Media Foundation - United States Journalism Emergency Fund
This fund will directly support U.S. journalists in need so they can resume work essential to our functioning democracy. Made available to U.S. based journalists regardless of gender. Applicants must be U.S. journalists with journalism serving as their primary profession and must provide proof of their financial need. Funding is available to both staff journalists and those working independently. - Jazz Foundation Musicians Emergency Fund
The Jazz Foundation’s Musicians’ Emergency Fund provides housing assistance, pro bono medical care, disaster relief, and direct financial support in times of crisis. - Kala Fellowship Award
This international award is open to artists producing innovative work in mediums including printmaking, digital media, installation art, social practice, photography, and book arts. Selected artists will receive a $3,000 stipend and a studio residency at Kala Art Institute. Deadline: March 15, 2024. - The Learned Fangirl Freelance Emergency Fund
The Learned Fangirl has created the TLF Freelance Emergency Fund to support freelance culture writers who have been negatively impacted by the coronavirus outbreak. - Leveler: Peer to Peer Wealth Distribution

- The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has made $75,000,000 available to support small businesses negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This program targets businesses that focus on reaching markets predominantly made up of socially and economically disadvantaged and historically underrepresented groups, underserved markets, and those owned by minorities, women, veterans, immigrants, first-generation immigrants, disabled individuals, or those that identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community.

The Studios at MASS MoCA will offer multiple full fellowships that do not have geographic or demographic limitations. This means that anyone who wishes to can apply for one of these fellowships, regardless of discipline or location. The fellowship funds all residency fees for up to four weeks in residence. To apply, simply select the appropriate box on the fellowships question of the general Studios residency application. Deadline: Nov. 8, 2024. - Max’s Kansas City Project
The Max’s Kansas City Project provides emergency funding & resources to professionals in the creative arts. Individuals who have made their living through their art form either professionally or personally and demonstrate a financial need for medical aid, legal aid or housing. - Mid Atlantic Arts Council - USArtists International
USArtists International supports in-person and virtual performances by American artists at engagements at international festivals and global presenting arts marketplaces outside of the United States. The program funds individuals and ensembles across all performing arts practices and disciplines. - Millay Arts Multidisciplinary Artist Core Residencies

Mystic Seaport Museum is seeking applicants for the 2024 New England Black and Indigenous Maritime Histories Summer Internship. This interdisciplinary internship engages with BIPOC (Black and Indigenous People of Color) maritime histories and contemporary communities through academic exploration and hands-on practice in public engagement, curation, and community conversations. The program benefits students with interest in museum careers as well as students who aspire to positions of leadership in community and responsibility in other fields such as education, business, government, and more. - National Endowment for the Arts - Challenge America Grant
Challenge America grants offers support primarily to small organizations for projects to reach historically underserved communities with rich and dynamic cultural identities. This program may be a good entry point for organizations that are new to applying for federal funding. Grants are awarded in all artistic disciplines for a wide variety of arts projects.Challenge America features an abbreviated application, a robust structure of technical assistance, and grants for a set amount of $10,000. Grants require a cost share/match of $10,000 consisting of cash and/or in-kind contributions. Total project costs must be at least $20,000 or greater. Deadline: April 25, 2024. - New Bedford Art Museum - Call for Art: Transformations
The Art Museum of New Bedford presents Transformations, a juried exhibition of works on paper that explore the theme of metamorphosis or change. Works may be 2D or 3D but must be predominantly made of paper. Transformations is the inaugural exhibition of the Art Museum of New Bedford’s new annual juried exhibition series and is open to artists internationally. National Dance Project Travel Fund provides monetary assistance for U.S. based presenters, curatorial staff, and residency directors or for current NDP artist grantees to connect in person to explore feasibility of presenting NDP-funded works. - Newport Festivals Musician Relief Fund
Musicians that have lost income from a canceled gig/performance due to the pandemic may apply to this grant. Priority will be given to musicians who played the Newport Jazz or Folk Festivals and those in the Rhode Island community. - New York Theatre Workshop 2050 Administrative Fellowship
A year-long paid part-time fellowship opportunity for candidates who are underrepresented in theatre administration. - Office of Arts & Culture Seattle - Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute Facility Grant
The LHPAI Facility Grant aims to create community impact by broadening arts and culture participation at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute, an historic landmark cultural facility in the heart of the Central Area neighborhood of Seattle. The Foundation welcomes, throughout the year, applications from visual artists who are painters, sculptors, and artists who work on paper, including printmakers. There are no deadlines. Professional exhibition history will be taken into consideration. The Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program offers six artists a place to live and work for a year, with a monthly stipend and no strings attached. Artists-in-residence have the opportunity to mount a solo exhibition of their work at the Roswell Museum, and to have an artwork purchased for the permanent collection of the Anderson Museum of Contemporary Art. TTO has established a fund of $10,000 to provide temporary financial assistance to Greater Boston's QTPOC performing artists and youth affected by the pandemic. A limited number of $250 grants while resources last. Applications reviewed biweekly. - Thespian Relief Grant
The Thespian Relief grants program offers two types of grants to help school theatre programs: $500 grants for schools towards troupe dues. $1000 grants to assist school theatre programs that have been negatively impacted by the cancellation of events or loss of projected revenue, and help with any other issues related to getting a program up and running again this school year. Deadline: Rolling. - Trillium Arts - North Carolina Choreographic Fellowship
A North Carolina Choreographic Fellowship (NCCF) in Dance provides immersive creative time and space to select North Carolina based dance artists. Choreographers at any stage of their careers who have been residents in the state of North Carolina for at least one year are eligible and are invited to apply. Deadline: March 11, 2024. - Valorena Publishing & Cocoa Kids Collection - Scholarship
This $500scholarship is designed to empower BIPOC and multicultural women to live authentically and share their unique stories by supporting their studies in the creation of children's picture books. Any female BIPOC/multicultural high school, undergraduate, or graduate student who has a creative portfolio and has published projects or is pursuing a course of study related to literacy, literature, poetry, writing, publishing, editing or illustration may apply for this scholarship. Deadline: March 12, 2024. - Vermont Arts Council - Creation Grants
Creation Grants support artists or artist groups in creating new work. Grant funds may be used to compensate the artists for time spent creating new work, to purchase materials, or to rent equipment or space for the process. This highly competitive program is reviewed by an independent panel of practicing artists and arts professionals. Both established and emerging artists are encouraged to apply.
