Our Mission
The Performance Project is a community of many ages and ancestries that engages young people in intensive artistic training, intergenerational mentoring, leadership development, and community building through the arts.

Majors and Interests: Communications, digital media, public relations, PR/marketing.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and manage social media platforms (FB, Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok?).
  • Consolidate and update YouTube Channel.
  • Generate, edit, publish and share content on social media (text, images, video) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to engage.
  • Work on bi-weekly newsletter.
  • Possible: Update Press contacts.

Requirements:

  • Strong writing skills.
  • Understanding of social media platforms – especially Facebook and Instagram;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Experience in Office and Google Drive;
  • Enthusiasm for the organization’s mission;
  • Other skills as needed per position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of AES Arts Marketing course;
  • Some experience with digital design and editing platforms such as Canva, Adobe Spark, iMovie, and/or other photo/video editing programs is helpful.

PERIOD OF INTERNSHIP/EMPLOYMENT: Fall, Spring, Summer, Multiple Semesters/Seasons

PAY TYPE: Unpaid or Work Study

OPPORTUNITY TYPE: Internship

JOB STATUS: Part-Time, 5 – 10 hours/week during academic year, 5 – 20 Summer.

INTERNSHIP MODE: Hybrid or In-Person
