As part of the national public broadcasting system, New England Public Radio (NEPR) (www.nepr.net) brings its 188,550 weekly listeners acclaimed news and entertainment programs like All Things Considered and Morning Edition, and Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! Our locally produced programs feature classical, jazz, and world music, and our own award-winning regional news. Our mission is to provide the area with diverse news, information, music and cultural programs of the highest quality. NEPR is committed to programs that entertain, educate, and inform in a lively, provocative, varied, and sensitive way. Internship opportunities are available in News, Production, Marketing, Digital Media, and our Music Library. These opportunities are designed to provide experience in the student’s area of interest and to help NEPR meet its operational needs. NEPR will conduct an initial screening of applicants and contact finalists for interviews. NEPR offers paid internships at our Springfield studio for students from the Five Colleges: UMass Amherst and Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke and Smith Colleges. Internships are available during the summer for students not attending those schools; however, priority is given to Five College students. In addition, three paid internships per year are available to students from Berkshire Community College.
