INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION: The Experience Department oversees all public interactions in the Museum and out in the community.
The Education Specialist Intern provides assistance to the implementation of educational programming focusing on natural science, history and art with elementary and middle school students at locations throughout Berkshire County.
- assist in the implementation of educational programming
- assist in managing groups of elementary and/or middle school students at their school
- timely onsite preparation and cleanup
- maintaining good communication and working relationship with school administration and staff
- maintaining and reporting accurate records of material usage
PERIOD OF INTERNSHIP/EMPLOYMENT: June-August 2019

JOB STATUS: Part-time. The position is 20 hours per week, late June through mid-August, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Additional hours are available for ongoing training at the Museum and providing outreach at community events and/or supporting in-house programming.
