Piti Theatre Company is an award-winning international troupe founded in 2004 by American playwright/actor Jonathan Mirin and Swiss choreographer, dancer and visual artist Godeliève Richard. Piti is based in Shelburne Falls, MA and Les Ponts-de-Martel, Switzerland. Piti (pronounced "pea-tea") is an ancient Indian (Pali) word translatable as joy or rapture. Piti creates original performances and community-building events that accelerate local transformation towards joy, sustainability and justice. The company produces two festivals annually - SYRUP: One Sweet Performing Arts Festival and The Great Greenfield DinoFest. Students may be eligible for payment through their Work Study program, or for credit through their college or university.
INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION: The Piti Theatre Company Development Internship offers growth opportunities for entrepreneurial self-starters with an interest in gaining hands-on experience by joining a small administrative team. Flexible scheduling and telecommuting options are available. Sense of humor a plus.
