CitySpace Development Intern, Easthampton, MA

Easthampton’s iconic Old Town Hall is managed by CitySpace and owned by the City of Easthampton is an historic building (1869) located in the heart of Easthampton. CitySpace works to establish and maintain the Old Town Hall (OTH) as a vital center for the arts in the heart of Easthampton. Easthampton OTH is the home of Easthampton City Arts, the Flywheel Arts Collective, and Big Red Frame and Elusie Gallery. Over the past decade, CitySpace has been awarded numerous grants to design and renovate the Old Town Hall’s interior.

CitySpacecontinues its capital campaign to raise the necessary funds to renovate the beautiful 2nd floor theatre into a fully functioning and versatile community and performing arts space.


The CitySpace Development Intern will work with CitySpace board members and receive training and experience in the following areas:

  • Conducting prospect and grant/foundation research
  • Crafting donor solicitation materials
  • Generating commonly used development documents, i.e. development calendars, prospect pipeline
  • Possibly planning development events and fundraising campaigns

We are looking for candidates with strong written and verbal skills, and an attention to detail.

PERIOD OF INTERNSHIP/EMPLOYMENT: Per Semester, Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer

PAY TYPE: Unpaid


JOB STATUS: Part-time (flexible schedule) - Minimum of 4-8 hours per week

LOCATION: Old Town Hall, 43 Main Street, Easthampton, MA and remotely on UMass Amherst Campus.
