Arts Administration Internship, Double Edge Theatre

Double Edge Theatre's mission is to create a 'living culture' by developing the highest quality of original theatre performance, based on the long-term imaginative work of its ensemble of artists and their rich interaction with the communities in which the work takes place—and by cultivating a permanent center of performance, training, research, and cultural exchange at The Farm in Ashfield, Massachusetts.


Double Edge seeks a staff intern to assist in the management of all aspects of the running of DE’s office admin, including box office, front of house, and theatre management admin. The Intern is expected to be a quick learner, organized and hard working. This position includes communications, answering and making phone calls, assisting audience with box office and internal company scheduling. The Intern may be required to assist in other areas when necessary. Strong computer skills are needed, including proficiency in word processing and database software, although some of this (particularly the CRM) will involve onsite training. Housing is included for the period and food would be included from May through mid August, additional to stipend. There will be opportunities to observe rehearsals and aspects of the company’s creative and performance process, as well as possible further job opportunities.

PAY TYPE: Stipend, $400 - 500 per month + housing and food
