How to Succeed in Large Lectures

UMass lecture hall with a class in session. Text: "How to succeed in large lectures."

Going into freshman year, I knew that the introductory lectures were going to be big, but actually attending them was an entirely different story. UMass students

One of the most unexpectedly interesting classes I’m taking this semester is My Body, My Health. It’s a public health course that fulfills some basic general education requirements and is also a requirement for any public health majors. Luckily for us students, UMass provides many resources and advice when something like this happens, and now I'm here to share this wisdom with you.

Every school has some sort of tradition unique to it. From singing a fight song in a specific place to rubbing a statue for good luck, there’s some quirky thing every college student appreciates about their school. Here at UMass, my favorite tradition is the “All Treats, No Tricks” steak and lobster dinner. For the 17th year in a row, this continued on Halloween night.
