Antibes is one of the prettiest spots on the French Riviera. The constant sunshine reflects on the sparkling Mediterranean Sea.Standing on the Old Town beach, the snow-covered Alps look like a fake backdrop. The weather is sunny, warm—and deceiving.
Whether you're a freshman and simply new to UMass, or you recently switched into a new academic department, chances are that you will be required to attend a new majors meeting. This past fall, I attended the new majors meeting for the marketing department after switching from hospitality and tourism management. Although mandatory, new majors meetings can be incredibly informative for understanding what resources and opportunities are available to you in your department.
One of the many great opportunities that clubs at UMass can offer is going on field trips. As an Isenberg student, this usually means visiting interesting companies throughout Massachusetts. This past Friday, I was fortunate enough to visit Arnold Worldwide with the Isenberg Marketing Club at its Boston headquarters in Downtown Crossing.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: time really does fly. In only a mere six weeks, I will be packing up my Central dorm room and heading back to my Connecticut hometown. This summer, I will most likely be a Guest Services Associate at a local country club again, the same as last year. My family has planned a small trip to Martha’s Vineyard and Canada, and I look forward most to relaxing and (hopefully) being able to sleep in. While I cannot wait to have four months to not worry about schoolwork, I also know how much I will miss being at UMass.
Depending on how you study, you may like to listen to music while you do your homework. Or, you may like to sit in total silence. Either way, it’s totally up to the you and how you may learn best.
Since I only have classes on Wednesday and Thursday, I have a lot of free time on my hands.Don't get me wrong. When life is super busy, I cherish free time. However, when I have too ~little~ to do, I get anxious.
Honestly, it doesn't matter if you love frogs dead or alive. I just need help with the population control of frogs in Antibes.Due to their insanely loud croaking, I haven't had a good night's sleep in over a week now, and I think I’m going a little crazy. This morning, I put eyelash glue on my toothbrush instead of toothpaste.True story.
Orchard Hill, or O'Hill for short, is a residential area on campus that gained its titled from the fact that the residence halls sit upon a hill, elevating itself above the rest of campus.
