Valentine’s Day at UMass Amherst

Love is in the air at UMass Amherst! The campus culture here makes every holiday extremely fun for everyone, and Valentine’s Day is no exception.

The dining halls are decorated top to bottom in red. The food is all Valentine’s Day-themed. And, most exciting of all, a fondue station is set up in every dining common. Strawberries, pineapples, pretzels, and marshmallows are available to dip in a chocolate fountain. But get there fast! These fondue stations are extremely popular. Expect long lines, but trust me when I say it’s worth the wait.

If you’re not in the mood for the dining halls, I recommend coming up to Orchard Hill and getting Sweets & More. They have three limited-edition special shakes for Valentine’s Day. They also have amazing strawberry shortcake cookies, which I definitely recommend.

UMass Amherst knows how to do holidays right. Can’t wait for the next one!

My Spring 2019 Schedule

UMass dorms in winter

A new year has arrived, and with it a new semester. Vacation is fun and all, but I, for one, am excited to be back at UMass and resuming academics and extracurriculars. Right now is the calm before the storm. We’re well into our second week of classes, but add-drop period is not quite over yet. We have a few more days to relax before homework and tests really begin to pile on. So, in this first post of the new semester, I’m going to tell you guys about all the classes in my schedule.

New Years Resolutions

It’s now February. New Year's was a whole month ago. But the semester has only just begun, so I don’t think it’s too late to make some UMass-related resolutions. These resolutions are goals I hope to accomplish over the next few months while I’m on campus, and they all have something to do with the classes and resources at UMass. Here goes.
