Spring Concert 2019

Every year UMass has a spring concert at the Mullins Center, and this year is no different. The UMass University Program Council is in charge of booking the performers each year, and they have yet to let anyone down. This year, Lil Uzi Vert and Loud Luxury are performing at the Mullins Center on April 28th.

What is great about being a UMass student is that tickets are only $15, and the Mullins Center is right on campus. Early tickets are even available for any student part of the five colleges, that is, UMass Amherst, Smith, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire, and Amherst colleges. For the schools that aren’t UMass Amherst, tickets are $30, which is still a fantastic deal, considering two very popular artists are set to perform.

I have been to the spring concert for the past two years and both times were a ton of fun. Going with a group of peers to a concert is always fun, but what makes it even better is that is so close to campus, therefore there is no hassle at all getting and leaving there, unlike if you were to go to an actual concert at some other venue.

If you want to bring friends who are not part of the five college system, or you yourself are not, tickets go on sale April 3rd for the general public. It’s nice to see UMass Amherst include anyone and everyone who wants to attend, but it’s nice to know that being a student here does have its perks.

Overall, it should be a fun time at the Mullins Center. So be sure to check it out if you can. And if you are unable to go to the event, be excited for years to come because the University Program Council does this every single year.

Lara Pereira is a freshman marketing and political science double major here at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. One of the biggest reasons why she decided to attend UMass Amherst was because of the abundance of opportunities and resources the school has to offer. She knew in high school that she wanted to attend a big university that had a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, and her previous visits to campus only reinforced the strengths of the UMass Amherst experien
