I haven’t forgotten abut you, UMass.
One of my best friends is graduating a year early and will be walking in this year's graduation. Of course, I plan on being there to watch her walk (jet-lagged, but proud). As an added bonus, I will be getting paid to do it!
This friend is a peer-advisor for students in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS), so she always knows about cool opportunities. A few weeks ago, she sent me an application to be a Celebration Marshall at the SBS Graduation Ceremony. I applied and got a positive response.
Watching videos from previous celebrations, it is evident how bittersweet this day can be. For many, it is the finish line of the most challenging, exhilarating, and unforgettable time-period of their lives thus far. So I could not be more honored to help make their special day run as smoothly as possible.
