Checklist

Freshman Students

  1. Review the Important Information brochure enclosed in your admit packet.
  2. If you accept your offer of admission, complete and return the enrollment form and pay the non-refundable $500 enrollment fee either online via the QuikPay system or by personal check as soon as you make your decision or by the reply date on your enrollment form.  If you decline your offer of admission, please notify us by returning your enrollment form as soon as possible.
  3. Once your enrollment fee has been processed, you can register for New Students Orientation.  Registration for Spring sessions open mid-November and Fall sessions will open in mid-February.
  4. Request that your official final high school transcript (with graduation certification) be sent to the Admissions Office.

NOTE:  Admitted international students who plan to enroll on a student (F-1) visa are required to verify their finances by sending an official bank statement and sponsor statement to the International Programs Office 467 Hills South, 4th Floor, UMass Amherst, Amherst MA 01003. Shortly after admission, these international students will receive an email from the International Programs Office.  It is very important that students follow those instructions carefully in providing financial documentation to the International Programs Office.

 

Transfer Students              

  1. Review the Important Information brochure enclosed in your admit packet.
  2. If you accept your offer of admission, complete and return your enrollment form and pay the non-refundable $500 enrollment fee either online via the QuikPay system or by personal check by June 1st.  If you decline your offer of admission, please notify us notify us by returning your completed enrollment form as soon as possible. 
  3. Once your enrollment fee has been processed you can register for New Students Orientation.
  4. Request that the official final transcript from your current school be sent to the Admissions Office.

NOTE:  Shortly after admission, admitted international students who plan to enroll on a student (F-1) visa will receive an email from the International Programs Office.  Since this email will confirm whether the financial documents provided are sufficient for processing a student visa, it is very important for students to read the email and follow those instructions carefully.
