This guide serves as a description of the appointment and reappointment of non-tenure track faculty members in the Lecturer series, and as a resource for successfully managing the employment life cycle for lecturers, senior lecturers, and senior lecturer IIs. It provides tools and tips to ensure that our commitment to diversity is operationalized in the search process. 

 

This does not apply to Visiting Assistant Professors in Mathematics and Statistics or Clinical faculty in Nursing, nor does this apply to fully grant funded positions, such as Research Faculty. Lecturer appointments are governed by the collective bargaining agreement between the University and the Massachusetts Society of Professors (MSP).
