Title: | Wrench, Benjamin (1778?-1843): Actor |
 |
Description: | Wrench, Benjamin (1778?-1843): A great favorite with Adelphi audiences, appearing in ten seasons. He began in the provinces and replaced R. W. Elliston at Bath in 1804. He moved to Drury Lane and was there for five years. He opened at the Adelphi as Captain Somerville in Capers at Canterbury. He followed with his greatest success Corinthian Tom in Moncrieff’s Tom and Jerry. He was a good comedian, not a great one. |
