"ROBIN HOOD" AT THE ADELPHI.

The notion of a children's pantomime having been justified by its success last Christmas [Little Goody Two Shoes], it is no wonder that the example should be followed in the present.  The new production, having Robin Hood for its hero, is the work of the same Old Boy who contrived its immediate predecessor.  We have already told how the Sheriff of Nottingham pursued the hero into Sherwood Forest and attempted to seize upon Maid Marian, but was soon worsted by his gallant antagonist and would have come to further grief but that his wrath is stayed by the intercession of the compassionate damsel.  This scene is depicted in our illustration.  On this, the crowning incident of the pantomime, the fairy guardian of the forest appears and changes the characters.  The situation is striking, and, indeed, full of dramatic interest.
