ADELPHI THEATRE.
The Christmas extravaganza at this theatre is from the melodrama of "Frankenstein," which
many years since attracted large audiences of those who woo terror to delight themselves, in the old
Lyceum Theatre. The piece was an extravagant affair per se; and how burlesque has heightened its
absurdities can better be told in picture than in words. The scene chosen by our artist is the
interior of the
laboratory; and the situation, the fright of Frankenstein at the sight of the Model Man
of his own creation. The piece, from the already practised pen of the Brothers Brough, increases
in popularity on each repetition.
