Within the MS program, 4+1 students may choose between a master's degree in environmental engineering or a master’s degree in civil engineering with a concentration in environmental and water resources. The MS in Environmental Engineering is closely aligned with the program’s roots in process engineering. Students should talk with an advisor to select the degree that matches their interests and goals.

This accelerated five-year coursework-based program allows up to 12 approved credit hours taken as a UMass undergraduate to count towards our 30-credit master's degree, and up to 6 of those hours can be double-counted to meet both BS and MS degree requirements.
