CC EntriesThis table gives, for each of the twelve Chun/Chyou reigns, (1) the length of the reign in years, (2) the total number of CC entries, (3) the CC wordcound, (4) the average number of entries per year, and (5) the average number of words per entry. The highest and lowest values for the last two columns are highlighted. The average number of entries per year for the whole text is 7.66, and the average number of words per entry for the whole text is 8.64. The extreme values for the CC are 1 and 00 words per entry.
These figures are based on the Yang Bwo-jywn division of CC entries, which combines several entries which are separate in the traditional text. See the separate page for CC entry types.

Here are graphs for Entries Per Year and Words Per Entry:
CC Entries PerYear
CC Words Per EntryTaking the material as a whole, there is a slight overall upward trend in Entries Per Year, but the Words Per Entry figure is essentially level. As far as these rough measures go, then, the categories, and the diction, of the CC seem to remain essentially constant over the several centuries of its existence, with something of a dip in the 3rd (or 4th) reign, and something of a peak in the 8th (or 9th).
