Unpublished Papers
Jack DullSeveral important but unpublished papers by Jack Dull have been put on-line at the University of Oregon, through the courtesy of Jack's wife and copyright holder Peggy Dull, the interest of Jack's former student student Bill Crowell, and the enterprise of X of the University of Oregon Library. Chief among these are an introduction, several chapters, and a conclusion for a projected book on the theme of Legitimation in the early Chinese dynasties. Also at Oregon are further materials on the origin and work of the Han Project at the University of Washington, which inherited an initiative begun by Homer H Dubs at Oxford, was brought to Seattle due to the recommendation of Karl Wittfogel, was presided over at first by Hellmut Wilhelm, and after Hellmut's death, by Jack Dull. Jack himself died in 1995, leaving the Legitimation book largely edited, but still unpublished.
